Philippe Pallafray uses elements from the electronics industry that he implants in his metal sculptures. He questions himself on human nature and his future in view of new technologies used within the human body. What will our relation to the world be in a lofty universe where cerebral implants and integral thought would be generalized? Pallafray is a member of the Sculptors Society of Canada. His art is part of public and private collections in Canada, the United States and France....

Andre Petterson attempts to capture the essence of a split-second in time. His current photography-based work explores various themes of lighting to create elements of mystery. Rembrandt and the Dutch masters’ use of light have strongly influenced Petterson; important elements are highlighted and the mind must fill in the rest. Fabric and movement are also subjects of fascination for the artist. He believes that the integration of movement and fabric are similar to brushstrokes. The chance and artistic freedom involved in motions of dance and similar movements are also reflected in his mixed media work. Petterson has exhibited in private and public galleries in Canada and the United States. He is the recipient of The National Film Board of Canada Award, and has work featured in numerous private and public collections including the Canada Council Art Bank, Canadian Airlines, Vancouver General Hospital, Claridge Investments, Duracell Canada, Esso Resources Canada, Pan Pacific Seattle,...

His love for the west coast mountains stayed with him as a teenager, and inspired him to merge his creative talents with stone to become a Stone Mason. For those early years he found artistic inspiration while working outdoors. Prusac's love for art grew as he attended Sheridan College, and then George Brown College for Graphic Communications and Illustration. A member of the Toronto art community since 1997, Samantha Sandbrook holds a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Queen’s University and advanced standing from the Ontario College of Art and Design (now OCAD University). Painting was her first love before she branched out into sculpture and furniture design, experiencing a cross-pollination of ideas as she went from one discipline to another. She is now crossing boundaries by diversifying her artistic output and adding venues in the United States to her established Canadian outlets. Sandbrook’s style marries playful yet luxurious design with an impeccable attention to detail and craftsmanship. Her distinctive style juxtaposes refinement (swishing haute couture dresses, the luxe use of brass) with rawness (graffiti, industrial parts) and leaves fairy dust floating in the air. She uses vibrant colour to highlight sophistication and glamour, often employing candy-like colours and contrasting textures to enhance the visual effect. Every piece has a brilliant metallic...

These works went to international galleries and museums in Japan, Germany, Torontoʼs Princess of Wales Theatre and other locations. Scaife creates her solo artwork within the Pop Surrealist style. She is greatly influenced by the art, design and advertising illustrations of the atomic age. She often creates anthropomorphic figures within her pieces, which reflect her personal appreciation for...
